About St Michael's Catholic Grammar School:
St Michael's Catholic Grammar School, a selective institution for girls, is located in the London Borough of Barnet.
Year 7 admission opens April 2023, offering 128 places. The entrance exam, scheduled for Friday 15th September is provided by the 11+ GL Assessment, covering English, Maths, Verbal-Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
St Michael's Catholic Grammar School doesn't set a defined passing score. Instead, the test results are standardised and the candidates are ranked. Please note that St Michaels may not guarantee admission based on test scores alone due to high demand and limited seats. Factors considered for admission into St Michaels are ordered as follows:
1. Girls who have been baptised as Catholics, come from families that actively practice Catholicism, have received their First Holy Communion, and are either currently or were previously under care, and have also secured a spot within the top 200 scores in the entrance examination, are the ones considered for admission.
2. A maximum of 32 seats are reserved for girls who are baptised Catholics from practicing Catholic families, have completed their First Holy Communion, are recipients of free school meals, and have achieved a position among the top 200 scores in the entrance test. If more than 32 students meet these criteria, the spots are assigned based on the ranking of their entrance test scores.
3. Girls who are baptised Catholics from practicing Catholic families and have received their First Holy Communion are considered for admission based on their entrance test scores, starting with the highest.
In the event that two or more candidates share an identical rank based on the criteria, priority is then assigned considering their scores in the following order: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English, and then Maths.
