Which Year 5 course should I choose?

Choose our Graduate Online for personalised daily practice with tutor support. Masterclass Online includes everything in Graduate and follows our centre curriculum through weekly pre-recorded teaching, interactive classwork and tutor-marked homework, with learning that fits around your family. For scheduled lessons where your child can ask questions as they learn, choose Masterclass Live or our in-person centres.

Will my child have a tutor on an online course?

Yes. Both Graduate Online and Masterclass Online include an allocated tutor who monitors progress and personalises daily practice. You can contact them by phone during office hours or by email for guidance.

Can we start on a course part-way through year 5?

Yes. Your child can join our online or in-person courses at any point during Year 5, subject to availability. We revisit earlier topics through planned revision, so they’ll have opportunities to cover material taught before they joined.

What happens if my child finds a topic difficult?

It’s normal to encounter unfamiliar topics, as 11+ preparation can go beyond what your child has covered at school. Explanations for incorrect answers help them understand where they went wrong, while their tutor tailors future practice to strengthen those areas. You can also contact their tutor for guidance.

Do your courses prepare children for GL Assessment, FSCE and Quest 11+ exams?

Our courses build the core Maths, English and reasoning skills needed for 11+ entrance exams, including GL Assessment, FSCE and Quest-style assessments where applicable. Exam formats and requirements vary by school, so please contact us if you would like guidance on the most suitable preparation for your child.

What if my preferred Masterclass centre is fully booked?

We recommend starting with our Graduate or Masterclass Online course so your child can begin building key 11+ skills straight away. Then, join your preferred centre’s waiting list. Children learning with us receive priority over non-members when spaces become available, giving your child the best chance of being offered a place, though this cannot be guaranteed.
