KSOL's Monthly Study Schedule - May and June
We are approaching the final stretch before the 11+ exam, and as the academic year speeds towards its climax, how your child undergoes their preparation can make a significant difference. Within our latest blog, we have tailored our study suggestions for the months May and June to ensure your child is best prepared for 11+ success.
May: It’s about time!
- Time management becomes incredibly important now. Your child should be comfortable with a lot of the topics, so the focus should shift towards enhancing their time management skills.
- Utilise this time to focus on advanced pieces of comprehension texts, both fiction and nonfiction to refine their understanding and analytical skills.
- We suggest children practice tackling a non-verbal reasoning question in approximately 30 seconds, to get them used to the fast-paced nature of the 11+ exam.
June: Get wise, time to revise!
- By this point, the 11+ exam is just 3 months away. Now children should be in the revision stages of their 11+ exam preparation. If your child studies with KSOL, this is where their history tab becomes their best friend. Revisit any problematic topic areas and the explanations provided.
- For children who don’t study with KSOL, we have an online 3-month intensive programme that ensures the 11+ syllabus is covered.
- When your child sits down to plan out their revision, do ensure they have a balance of work and play. The Summer Holidays are approaching, and it’s important that children enjoy spending time with their friends and family.
This tailored 2-month plan will help keep your child on track, and alleviate the pressure of the upcoming exams. We want children to approach the 11+ exam with confidence and capability, so keep an eye out for our future study schedules as we help guide you the process!
