About Woodford County High School:

Woodford County High School is a grammar school for girls aged 11 to 18 in the London Borough of Redbridge.

Year 7 admissions open on 1st May 2023, offering 180 places. The Redbridge 11+ plus exam is the chosen exam format, taking place on 15th September 2023. Results are age-standardised and the top 180 scoring children are considered for placement.

The pass mark required to be eligible for a place at Woodford County High School is 104, but achieving this score will not guarantee entry due to such high demand. In addition to girls who achieve a standardised score of 104 or more, those with an Education, Health and Care Plan that specifically names Woodford County High School will be granted admission as a priority. After these places are allocated, the remaining slots will be offered based on the following order of priority:

1. Looked-after children.

2. Children who appear to have previously been in state care outside of England and Wales.

3. A maximum of 45 spots, which constitutes 25% of all available spots, will be reserved for children residing in the local catchment zone who are eligible for the pupil premium.

4. Remaining children residing within the catchment area.

5. Children residing outside the catchment area.
