About The Henrietta Barnett Grammar School:

Founded in 1911 and transitioning into an academy in 2021, The Henrietta Barnett School is a grammar school for girls.

To have your child sit for the First Round test, fill out the online application form available from April 28, 2023, until July 14, 2023. Your child will then be invited to participate in either a morning or afternoon session of the First Round test at the school, which will take place on either September 4th or 5th, 2023. The top 300 performers from the first round are invited to return for The Henrietta Barnett Second Round test, scheduled for early October 2023.

Following the Second Round test, the scores are once more standardised. These scores are then merged with the results from the First Round and ranked. Admissions offers are extended to the children with the overall highest scores, subject to the school's oversubscription criteria below:

1. Children who are currently or were previously under care and have placed within the top 300 in the First Round test.

2. Children who receive free school meals and have also ranked within the top 300 in the First Round test. (Supporting documentation confirming eligibility for free school meals must be provided by July 15th.)

3. Children residing within a three-mile radius of the school who have taken the Second Round test. If there are more candidates in this category than there are spots available, places are allocated based on rank score order.

4. The rest of the candidates are considered in order of their rank scores.
