The Exam
Wallington High School, is located in the London Borough of Sutton, the school conducts its examination process in two exam rounds, held on-site. All applicants invited to sit the school's Selective Eligibility Test (SET), comprising of 2 papers both multiple choice consisting of Mathematics and English. Only children who meet the qualifying standard will be invited to the 2nd exam stage, which consists of Mathematics and English (plus creative writing) which won't be multiple choice.

Admissions Criteria
The school offers 180 spaces for admission into Year 7. In the highly likely scenario where the number of qualifying applicants exceeds the available spots, the allocation of places follows this hierarchy:
1. Boys who are deemed to be 'looked after' or formerly looked after by a local authority.
2. Boys eligible to receive school meals.
3. Boys who have demonstrated aptitude in sport.
4. Boys who have demonstrated aptitude in music.
