The Exam

The Tiffin Boys' School, located in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames, conducts its examination process in two on-site rounds. All applicants are invited to sit the first exam, which consists of multiple-choice questions in Mathematics and English. The top 500 candidates are then called back for the second exam stage, which also covers Mathematics and English plus creative writing.

Admissions Criteria

The school offers 180 spaces for admission into Year 7. In the highly likely scenario where the number of qualifying applicants exceeds the available spots, the allocation of places follows this hierarchy:

1. Currently looked after children and previously looked after.

2. Boys whose primary school receives pupil premium funding.

3. Aptitude in sport.

4. Aptitude in music.

5. Boys whose permanent place of residence is within the priority area.

6. Boys whose permanent place of residence is outside the priority area.

Applicants who live less than 10km from Tiffin School.
